Hi

In case anyone is interested??

V20.0.016 firmware is NOW available for product code 0558787 (UK CV sim free 8GB) models.

Hope it's worth the wait??

As of the 8th of Sept' 08, now on v30.0.018 for product code 0549487 (Euro 1).

As of Jan' 09, now v31.0.015 .

Here's the answer to my own question!!!!

I bit the bullet and updated my phone to 20.0.016 and all seems good so far after 24 hours.

The web browser is much quicker and the ASR is very good. The phone does generally seem quicker, and the gallery opens nice and fast so far.

I did do a full format of the mass memory and also reloaded all of my applications from scratch which meant

i didn't get the usual re-install problems when you update. Time consuming i know, but you get much better results  :-}

hi....i have a 8gb that was on voda phone but was unlockt by the voda shop.....im wondering if i can debrand it and up the firmware as it seems slow.....how do you find out if my phone can be firmware updated and debranded....any help would be great as im crap with phones......wayne

There is a sticky on the top of the n95 forum about debranding, try having a read of that see if it helps, or look for kingmobilephones as I would imagine they do it.

Hi

The product code (7 digits) is found under the battery, usually starts with a zero.

PCV - will the debrand process be the same even tho he has an 8gb?  I just noticed..

Yes, just make sure you use the N95-2 (8GB) product code.

ie - 0549487 (Euro1) or 0558787 (UK sim free).
